Please visit Microsoft's WindowsUpdate site and install Japanese
Language Support (also available from Internet Explorer CD-ROM).
Reboot, make sure that a font `MS Gothic' is installed, then
visit this `encrypted' page and choose View -> Encoding -> `Japanese
(auto-detect)' from the menubar after selecting MS Gothic for both
monospaced (fixed-pitch) and proportional fonts for Japanese at
Tools -> Internet Options -> General -> Fonts.
Once you installed Japanese Language Support, MS Gothic font is
available not only on IE but also on Netscape or other applications.
